T1100 + M40X carbon fusion. UCI certified. From 980g. Four depth options from climbing to full aero — all on the same carbon spoke platform.
AETHER Series
Sub-1kg. Lightest build in the AETHER range. T1100+M40X carbon, UCI certified. For riders who live on the climbs.
40/45mm front/rear. The versatile middle ground — aero enough for fast flats, light enough for the climbs. True every-ride wheel.
45/50mm front/rear. The sweet spot. Fast on the flat, confident on climbs. UCI certified. Our best-selling AETHER build.
50/60mm front/rear. Maximum aero advantage. For flat roads, crits, and any effort where depth is everything.

All AETHER: Gen 4 carbon spokes (2g each), TPI ceramic bearings, disc brake centerlock, Shimano 10/11/12s / SRAM XDR / Campagnolo N3W freehub. Tubeless ready.
Technology
At 2g per spoke, carbon delivers a stiffness-to-weight ratio impossible with steel or alloy. Every watt goes to the road — no flex, no loss.
Carbon doesn't accumulate stress fatigue over thousands of kilometres. Year three rides the same as day one.
Blade-thin spokes slice through air rather than disrupting it. At 40 km/h the drag reduction is measurable — and felt the moment you accelerate.
All AETHER rims are tubeless-compatible out of the box. Lower pressures, less rolling resistance, zero pinch flats.
T1100 handles toughness across all conditions. M40X reinforces critical zones — spoke holes and rim walls — for sharp acceleration and cornering confidence. Tested to 90 joules: more than double the UCI standard.
No paint. No coating. Pure carbon finish. Three depths, all with 25mm internal width — the L-series is built for riders who want more tyre, more grip, and more control without giving up any speed.
L-Series
The lightest L-series build. Shallow 30/35mm depth for pure climbing — coating-free raw carbon, 25mm internal width, ceramic bearings, 45T star ratchet hub.
The sweet spot. 45/50mm depth hits the all-round mark — aero on the flat, capable on the climbs. Raw carbon finish, 25mm internal, tubeless ready.
Maximum aero depth in the L-series. 50/60mm front/rear, raw carbon finish, 25mm internal width. For flat roads, crits, and every effort where depth pays off.

What makes L-Series different
No paint, no lacquer. The L-series exposes raw carbon — saving weight and giving each wheelset a distinctly honest, industrial look that stands out on any build.
All three builds run 25mm internal — optimised for 28–32mm tyres. Better air volume, improved cornering confidence, lower optimal pressures without sacrificing any stiffness.
45T star ratchet engagement. Instant power transfer with near-zero dead band. You put the power in — it goes straight out.
Lower rolling resistance, higher durability. Ceramic bearings spin with noticeably less drag than steel — measurable in watts, felt in every pedal stroke.
From T1 to the finish line. The 8LIEN Aero X8 is a full-carbon disc rear wheel built for sustained speed — T1000 carbon construction and the aero profile to hold your watts all the way home.
Triathlon Range
950g full-carbon disc rear wheel. 21mm internal / 27mm external width. T1000 carbon construction — the highest grade in commercial production. Built for swim-to-bike transitions and holding watts all the way to the finish line.

Aero X8: TPI ceramic bearings, disc brake centerlock, Shimano / SRAM XDR / Campagnolo N3W freehub options. Sold as a single rear wheel.
Race engineering
T1000 is the highest-grade carbon in commercial production. Lighter, stiffer, and more impact-resistant than T700 or T800. The Aero X8 uses it throughout the disc structure.
A full disc eliminates spoke drag entirely. In TT and triathlon conditions, a rear disc is one of the single highest-return aero upgrades available — and at 950g it costs you nothing in weight.
Disc wheels become more efficient the faster you ride. At triathlon pace — typically 35–45 km/h — the Aero X8 is in its element. Every watt saved on a 90km bike leg adds up.
Lower rolling resistance across the entire race duration. Ceramic bearings spin with noticeably less drag than steel — measurable in watts, felt across every kilometre of the bike leg.
